RED RIVER SHOWDOWN

Texas Longhorns vs. Oklahoma Sooners

When: Saturday, October 6, 12:00 p.m. ET

Where: Cotton Bowl, Dallas, Texas

Betting Line / Total: Oklahoma -8 / 60.5 Points

Oklahoma Sooners

Baker Mayfield’s shoes admirably this season with 1,460 passing yards and a 17-to-2 touchdown-to-interception ratio in the team’s 5-0 SU start to the season.

Since losing to Iowa State back on October 7 of 2017, the Sooners are 13-0 SU and 7-6 ATS over their last 13 regular season games.

Texas Longhorns

Texas kicked off its season with a disastrous 34-29 road loss to the Maryland Terrapins as 12-point favorites. But since then, the Longhorns have climbed into the AP Top 25 with four straight wins including victories over then-ranked USC and TCU.

The College Football Playoff committee has forgiven plenty of ugly early season losses, so a win over Oklahoma would certainly keep the Longhorns’ hopes of a dream season alive.

Each of the last four games in the Red River Showdown have been decided by a touchdown or less. With Texas playing well of late and Oklahoma showing some signs of vulnerability this season, this year’s match up could be another one that stays close into the fourth quarter.
